Our Rhythm Society
Bridging Generational Gaps Through Music and Poetry
Who We Are
Our Roots
Our Rhythm Society hopes to bridge the gap between different generations through the heartwarming melodies of poetry, music, dance, and other types of performing arts through hosting appealing and informative recitations and performances at elementary schools, preschools, community centers, senior centers, libraries and retirement homes across Canada. Our founder and director, Lucas Li, noticed less and less people his age were interested in subjects such as poetry or classical music, and decided to make a change by showing how enjoyable performing arts really is. Through his journey, he is able to impact both teenagers and the elderly positively. He is a passionate advocate against xenophobia and ageism and hopes to bring his community together. Beginning with one high schooler going to a small retirement home in 2021, we have now expanded to over 25 locations and 200 volunteers, and have formed invaluable connections between youth and seniors who share a love for the performing arts.

Our unique hands-on approach enhances , ensures all children are satisfied, and makes sure no one is left out. We hope more members of our youngest generation develop an interest in various forms of arts including poetry, dance, music, and others.
